Attention should be paid to cleaning prosthetic limbs during use
When wearing prosthetic limbs, the acceptance cavity is in a hot and humid state. If it is not clean, all kinds of bacteria and fungi can easily and rapidly multiply, become skin infections and many kinds of dermatophytosis, and the acceptance cavity odor is unpleasant. Therefore, in order to keep the inner surface of the prosthetic acceptance chamber and the remnant limbs clean, it is necessary to carefully clean and dry them every night before going to bed (not in the morning); the inner acceptance chamber of the prosthetic leg (soft acceptance chamber) can be washed with warm water, and the water temperature can not be too hot to avoid deformation.
At the same time, pay attention to check whether there is any scar or discoloration in the residual limb. Do not use prosthesis when the residual limb is injured. If the residual limb is damaged, the use of prosthesis will aggravate the injury when the wound does not heal, and the situation will be very serious after infection. Correct selection of residual socks and cleaning residual socks, selection of absorbent cotton, wool residual socks and socks, socks and socks should often be washed with low alkaline soap. Residual socks should be changed at least once a day, especially when sweating.
(1) Keep the inner surface of the receiving chamber clean. The acceptance cavity is directly in contact with the skin. If the surface of the acceptance cavity is unclean for a long time, it will increase the risk of residual limb infection. Users should often clean the residual limbs and wipe the inner wall of the acceptance cavity to keep dry and clean. The inner receptive cavity (soft receptive cavity) of the leg prosthesis can be cleaned with warm water. The water temperature should not be too hot to avoid deformation. Correct selection of residual socks and cleaning residual socks, selection of absorbent cotton, wool residual socks and socks, socks and socks should often be washed with low alkaline soap. Residual socks should be changed at least once a day, especially when sweating.
(2) Prosthetics should be discontinued when the residual limb is injured, especially the lower limb, because it is very difficult to heal the wound of the residual limb when using the lower limb prosthesis to bear the weight. It often causes the wound to increase gradually and cause infection, which leads to the long-term inability to wear the prosthesis. Therefore, minor injuries should also be carefully dealt with and cured in time. During the treatment of residual limb wounds, patients should be guided to make up their minds not to wear prosthetic limbs, and the inappropriate part of the acceptance cavity should be repaired to prevent the recurrence of the wound. In addition, when eczema, blisters, cysts, tinea albicans, dermatitis, discoloration and edema of the stump skin are found, symptomatic treatment should be given in time to prevent infection.
(3) Should always pay attention to whether there are small cracks in the upper edge of the acceptance cavity, timely detection, timely repair by prosthetic technicians can prolong the life of the prosthetic limb.
(4) Always pay attention to the abnormal sound of prosthetic limbs during walking. If found, it indicates that some joint parts or joints are damaged or loosened, and should be repaired in time.
(5) For plastic parts in prosthetic limb structures, they should not be exposed to acid, alkali, fire, colored solution or hard external objects in order to prevent corrosion, staining, dissolution and rupture.
(6) Decorative coats are easy to be damaged. If users find minor damages, they can repair them and prolong their service life.
(7) When replacing shoes with lower limb prosthesis, attention should be paid to the heel height of the shoes. Do not change shoes with different heel height, because the alignment of lower limb prosthesis is directly related to the heel height of the shoes used by amputees. If you wear shoes with different heel heights from those designed for prosthetic limbs, it will result in inappropriate alignment of prosthetic limbs, resulting in knee flexion or knee flexion.
(8) The outer packing and footboard of lower limb prosthesis should be waterproof. When accidentally sticking water, socks and shoes should be replaced immediately. The wet part should be dried by hair dryer before use.
(9) For electrical and precision mechanical systems in prosthetic limb structures, dampness, impact and adhesion of dirt should be avoided, and professional personnel should be regularly sought for inspection and maintenance.
(10) Regular inspection, maintenance: generally every six months or a year should go to prosthetic limb production agencies to do a comprehensive inspection, maintenance, which is very important to prolong the life of prosthetic limbs.
